I feel poetry is the natural extension of creative language. I don't, on any legitimate level, consider myself a great poet, but I can trace every impulse of my writing and its development to my beginning experimentations with rhyme. This dates back to being 12 and 13 years old and striving to understand the depth of my ability with words and language. This has become a continuing process.

The content of my poetry deals with the classical subjects of poetry such as beauty, nature, recollection, and love (however dysfunctional), but also the stream of consciousness expression I have come to fashion as a key facet of my writing.

I have not posted these poems here as a method to draw praise or fire. I am not Frost and I am not Longfellow. I just think that these small collections of phrases say a great deal about me as a person and I invite people to get to know me in this intimate way.
